There would be nothing wrong in describing the scene where George tells Nina how he became a werewolf—by being scratched by one—and how the camera then focuses on Nina's scratches that she received free George in the cellar. Well, her interest in what it feels like to transform, and what exactly happens, would likely be a proving point for the fact that she is going to become / is a werewolf. And I personally doubt that the scratches were form George, as her shirt was not ripped. Also, she could see Annie in the hospital staircase, whereas she could not see her in the house, suggesting that she was scratched at a previous time. but didnt janey and owen see annie when they were been haunted. So surely Nina might be able to see her aswell !!!

Anybody object to Nina being promoted to a primary character? So far, episode 2 appears to have elevated her status.

I'd be more in favor of culling any season 1 characters that only appeared in one episode and are unlikely to return (Bernie, Tully, etc.) to avoid that section getting overly cluttered. Death

in the last episode season 2 episdoe 2 the entity on the radio said men with their black black feathers on their black, black wings. and implied they were waiting. so that should be added. Also the assertion that any ghost could get their life back by getting Annie through the door , is highly subjective as far as we know Saul was a unique case. it is also not known if Saul was resurrected especially for the task of getting Annie through the door, that is an opinion. it may have been a simply near death experiences the first time he died.Also the entity says you don't want our rascals coming out there so that should proberly be added too —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.13.64.91 (talk) 17:52, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Pilot vs. Final Cast

Does anyone know why the two changes between the pilot and final cast? Andrea Riseborough was, I thought, a much better fit and a better actress. I've noticed quite a few shows now where the lead actress is changed between the pilot and the series, and rarely does it seem to be for the better. If anyone knows of any source material that gives some insight into the changes, I think the article would be the better for it. --Kurt (talk) 00:58, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

IIRC, Andrea Riseborough became very much in demand shortly after the pilot aired (she went on to appear in The Devil's Whore and one of the spate of Margaret Thatcher docudramas, among other things), so it was just a case of them not signing her up in time. Presumably this was partly because Being Human only got commissioned as a full series on the second round of BBC3 signups (after the Phoo Action debacle). I'm not sure if precisely the same situation applies to the recasting of Mitchell and Herrick, but presumably it's similar. Having said that, they did try and steer the series away from a more predictably Gothic or melodramatic tone, so I would imagine that casting Jason Watkins as Herrick had something to do with that. (Generally he plays social misfits, losers and weak/creepy marginal characters, so having him play a deceptively normal-looking but powerful and ruthless vampire was something of a masterstroke) - 08:23, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

I didn't like the actress who played Annie initially at all, maybe it was the Northern accent. Obviously though, Aiden was absolutely amazing and Jason as Herrick absolutely nailed it as well, amazing actor. I thought that Lenora did a really good job of portraying a kind of obsessive agoraphobe, and she had a humbleness about her that the first actress lacked. 82.32.11.95 (talk) 22:19, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Article is bloated

The article is bloated with cruft, the Vampire, Werewolf, Ghost sections need to be reduced to one paragraph each. In fact I'm not sure why the Werewolf section is so large because that expository paragraph explains pretty much everything about Werewolves, but then someone went and poorly expanded upon that paragraph in the section. Although there have already been some trims to the article since this problem was raised (cutting down on the bloat), I think that there is now enough mythology connected to the program to warrant some more subsidiary articles for the series treatment of Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Doors/Gatekeepers. I am creating text for these articles based on previous edits (although I'm also editing for flow) and am using the same format as used for the Vampire (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Wiki. Naturally, those articles will probably be challenged in the same way that the Buffy article was, so for those of us interested in maintaining a BH-verse set of Wiki articles it'll be in our interests to add appropriate references and minimising absolute fancruft. (Note that the last nomination for deletion for the Buffyverse Vampire article was two years ago, so the approach which they are following there is probably the right one by consensus).- Dann Chinn (talk) 13:12, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

The idea is to avoid bloating out the main article by providing appropriately-edited support articles containing the extra details, eventually linked by a nav panel in the manner of other articles on extended fictional universes (eg, Marvel comics, Buffyverse, Doctor Who etc). Obviously all such articles should be tightly-edited and coherent to avoid too much waffle and fancruft. Second Hospital Location

I've added a second location to Glenside, Bristol for the filming of hospital scenes when the show was based in Bristol. When I was living at Glenside a while ago they filmed in the main teaching building for some episodes in Season two, as well as Bristol General. Being Human has won the Guiness (If I spelled the word wrong my apologies) world record for highest rated science fiction genre on Metacritic. com. I would suggest that somebody should put that down. Additions

For a while now, the page has been flagged re requirements to add a synopsis/plot summary, a production section and a character section. Being Human is now a well-established and well-respected TV series and deserves a fuller article.

I've added a plot summary, and character sections are being developed by various people in related articles. Does anyone have any more production information? (We also need to brush up on references). I'm going to create a portal to link the various BH articles, which should help with expansion. I'd also like to suggest that several characters now deserve their own standalone articles - Mitchell, George, Annie, Nina and Herrick - as the characters article is getting a little lengthy. - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:46, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

I've given Annie Sawyer her own character page due to the amount of material, and previous discussion on the "List of Being Human characters" talk page. If anyone has more reliable sources in regards to characterisation (i.e from writers) or reception that would be great. Episodes: individual articles and navbox

I've made a start on setting up a system for individual episodes, including an "episodes" navbox to add to the portal. I've also roughed out and added the first two episode articles, for The Monsters Inside and Flotsam and Jetsam. Some aspects still need to be improved (a better infobox, for starters, and a more consistent use of punctuation for the article titles) but I thought that this development was overdue and would provide more space to properly record episode information details than the current "episodes" article does. Alex's surname

Canceled????

Why does the lead sentence treat this series as a current, ongoing series? Why is there a notation to NOT use the past tense as is done with all other canceled series? The use of the present tense sent me looking for new episodes, when, in fact, the series has been canceled. Here is the notation: "Being Human is --Per MOS, please do not change to was--" My question is who is MOS and why is MOS demanding this not be changed?
