Notability Tag Removed

Removed the notability tag, which was added by an IP editor[1] with just 16 edits (stopped editing after 20) just after the article was created. At the time the article had just three citations. It seems to have prompted an editor to bring an AfD, which is still ongoing. If the article is kept, it will be because of notability so this tag isn't needed. Notability tags should remain until discussion is completed. I will restore it. If the discussion ends with keep, it can then be removed as that is the result of the discussion. If the result of the discussion is delete, then the article gets deleted. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:25, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

In addition, that tag was in place for 13 years, and a dozen or so editors made the decision not to remove it, from which I infer there is some agreement from them that the tag was appropriate. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:27, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

That's fine. The fact that tags remain in place for years doesn't seem particularly telling to me - in my experience, they often go on and then never come off until someone takes the initiative. I don't see a lot of movement towards deleting the article, so hopefully this is a temporary thing. Oblivy (talk) 14:34, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

It'll be temporary one way or the other, but I agree it probably won't get deleted. Hopefully, the discussion will generate some interest in improving the article. That would be best. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:45, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
