The majority of the Sources said the Inhabitans of Ada Kaleh was entirely turkish speaking muslim Turks, who settled in Ada Kaleh since 1699. Some sources said they was the former Muslim inhabitants from Temeshburg who was lost in 1716 by the ottomans to habsburg, and settled then to Ada Kaleh who belongend to the Ottoman empire. Yet some other sources said, the muslim turkish speaking Inhabitans who called Turks was in real a mix of Turks, Kurds, Albanians and Arabs. Another source said, they was Ottoman-Turkish speaking Muslims from all part of the Ottoman Empire who settled there. Another source said, they also have family relations with turks and muslim roma from Bulgaria from Warna and Vidin trough marriages. Another source said, they was named Bego-Turks as an own Turkish group, after the nickname of Bego Mustafa the wellknownst Person of Ada Kaleh. A look to old Pictures from Ada Kaleh, the Inhabitants must from different Background. Also one source said, some Romanian, Hungarian and German woman from Orsova married Ada Kaleh Turkish Men, in the 1950's. The migration to Turkey started in 1913 at the second Balkan War, from 1923 to 1938 and finally in 1967. The Islanders must be very nice and kindly if one read the old describings by Outlandish Visitors.
