Incorrect diagram

edit

The diagram which shows the current and former Bedford stations is incorrect. It implies that travelling from Bletchley you would pass through the current Bedford St Johns station before passing over a former junction which would have lead to the old station.

In reality the line used to continue straight ahead, where the current alignment veers left (hence the line passed behind the signalbox at Bedford after the new station opened, rather than in front of it). Not sure how to update these diagrams myself, but could it be modified to reflect the actual arrangement? ColourSarge (talk) 14:25, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have looked at the diagram and I believe it also mistakenly shows the former railway from Bedford to Cardington passing under the Marston Vale line near St Johns - in reality this was actually a flat crossing on the level at right angles. I'm afraid I don't know how to edit the template either... Andywebby (talk) 12:43, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Done (hopefully correctly!) with some reference to Google maps. Useddenim (talk) 17:05, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Main image

edit

I am of the opinion that the main image for this article isnt of particularly great quality, and think a change would be good. I'm thinking a platform level shot or a shot of the station front, rather than one taken from a nearby bridge. Thoughts? Mike1901 (talk) 19:25, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Services

edit

The article states "InterCity services from Leeds, Sheffield and Derby run through at high speed, but do not stop." I was at Bedford yesterday, and a service to Derby decidedly stopped. It was advertised as stopping, people waited for it, and got on it. So obviously some do! I don't have the relevant timetables, but can anyone confirm whether or not there are limited services to some of these destinations? Tom walker (talk) 11:07, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ashford International to Bedford

edit

I have added brief details to this article about the Ashford to Bedford service, which runs from Ashford International to Bromley South via the Maidstone East line, then from Elephant & Castle to Bedford via Thameslink. Martin H. Heron (talk) 21:26, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
