It's not - but I suspect it's a foreign term. I'm not quite sure what the editor's rules are for foreign terms - should I put it in italics? And it's hard for lace, since a lot of these terms got picked up by the English. I am putting quite a few synonyms (words that mean the same as each other) because I found it very confusing when starting to read about lace that a lot of different words were used for the same thing.
