Bauschinger effect = ratcheting? edit
Bauschinger effect seems to be ratcheting. Perhaps "ratcheting" should be included in the article as a supplemental term. I find that terms like this function well as descriptors which simplify explanation and provide for visualization. Mike P. - Quoting from an FEA Manual: "[some mathematical model they use] accounts for the nonlinear Bauschinger effect, cyclic hardening, and ratcheting." This wording seems to imply that those are three separate effects.
