International battle leagues.
editShould other international rap battle leagues have their own mention? Such as Don't Flop (UK), Basementality Battles (Sweden), FlipTop (Philipeans) or GrindTime Australia? 92.19.37.146 (talk) 18:31, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
it should be noted that FlipTop, despite not being an English language league, holds all ten of the most-viewed battles on YouTube. 204.93.118.124 (talk) 14:51, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
There is a page about FlipTop nowadays. However, most viewed FlipTop battle video seems to have 29 mln views, second most popular — 19 mln.
Russian Versus league (russian language) battle video Oxxxymiron vs Gnoyny has 25 mln views. (Views counts are as of today.) So mentioning/creating a page for Versus is reasonable.

Female Battle Rap
editThat section is BS. No, female battle rap is not considered highly. "female battle rappers are widely known in their community"... LOL! what the hell is that? Who wrote this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:3B98:F5C0:7D43:4E0C:A5F2:1590 (talk) 02:04, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Mari Lwyd
editThe Mari Lwyd custom in Wales goes back centuries, people would walk along-side Mari going from door to door starting a sort of rap battle or rhyming battle, this is probably the first account of its kind and it's worth adding this to this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hogyncymru (talk • contribs) 01:52, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- Norse people had a form called Flyting which is documented in Poetic Edda, one memorable instance has Loki roasting the entire Norse pantheon when he got drunk. 77.100.239.151 (talk) 00:49, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
PUFFERY / OR
editrv'ed this edit (again). We do not come up with original statements / MOS:PUFFERY such as "most popular battle rap league in the world" and "The sustained longevity and popularity of Fliptop is unrivaled" from raw numbers on a website, someone else has to say that. Per these not very civil comments, just because similar content exists is not a good reason to add more. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 12:21, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
The video
editthe video at the beginning of this article features a rap battle in Japan and is performed in Japanese. Could someone add english captions to it please? Purplelavendermidnights 17 (talk) 20:04, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
