Talk:Battle of the Heroes

I don't mean to be rude, but the quality of this article was more than a bit disappointing. There were factual errors (the piece doesn't start with syncopation, and there are no "thundering drums") and grammatical flubs of every sort. I've attempted to clean up the article and more accurately describe this incredible piece of musical work. Datameister 05:33, 15 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your hard work! --Merovingian 05:34, 15 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
My pleasure! Datameister 05:38, 17 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've made a point of giving this a more neutral point of view. Originally, the article was written with a sense of unbiased praise and, while I agree that it's a fantastic work, it didn't conform to Wikipedian standards. - AWF

Looking back, I realize that my revision of the article did have a fairly biased tone. Thanks for making these corrections. I've modified several of them slightly in order to improve the flow of the sentences, however. I also reverted "immense" back to "spectacular," since "immense" refers to size. Still not there yet edit

I can see a lot of work has gone into trying to make this entry more befitting of Wikipedia, however, as someone who has stumbled upon it for the first time I can see it still misses the mark. Too much of the composition and performance detail is stylistically suspect, overly enthusiastic and - crucially - artistically or emotionally interpretive. In the context of an encyclopaedic entry, comments of this nature should be cited from notable critics and not appear to be a review of the editor's own impression. --JamesTheNumberless 13:21, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure what's going on, but the one external link at the bottom of the page appears to lead to nothing obviously affiliated with Battle of the Heroes (after a quick skim), and the description itself appears to have been hurriedly written without much care. I suggest that it be removed. Danny sepley 02:08, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Transcription appears incorrect edit

Hi - looking at the .jpg which is supposed to show the opening notes of the leifmotif, I think the notes are incorrect. The second last bar should read a C-to-E instead of the D-to-C that's shown. Hope you don't mind, but since it's inaccurate I've removed it.

Fair use rationale for Image:Revenge of the sith ost.jpg edit

Image:Revenge of the sith ost.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
