I question the need to wikilink war contributions, but, aside from this, the sections pass.

War contributions were an important way of financing the war effort in the modern age. I think it's worth leaving the link.

Background

Done.

"...Albanian captain Nicolao Basta and Evangelista de las Cuevas..." These commanders are Albanian?

Basta was Albanian, Evangelista Spanish.
