Oda's Force

edit

On the Oda Nobunaga page it says his force was 2000, here it says 3000 in the article, i reliase exact figures probably aent availiable, but it would probably be better to pick one and chuck in a approx. or something.... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.96.142.10 (talkcontribs) 00:53, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Samurai Warriors

edit

This page says that Tokugawa was an officer of Imagawa. He was a hostage. He was kept at Sunpu until Yoshimoto's death. Also noted is Hanzo and Tadakatsu. Who would have participated in this battle in the game Samurai Warriors. Hanzo and Tadakatsu were fiercely loyal to Ieyasu, and likely would not have participated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.13.14.122 (talk) 03:24, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Accoring to the article Siege of Marune, Tokugawa led the siege of marune as a forced retainer. So maybe he also fought as a forced retainer in this battle? Taketa (talk) 09:17, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

WP:MH Assessment Commentary

edit

I assessed the article according to the WP: Mil History B-class criteria. Points to improve:

  • References: There are no in-line citations. More sources are needed.
  • Coverage: Coverage of the battle itself is rudimentary but adequate for Start-class. More background is needed. Why was Imagawa travelling to Kyoto? Why did Oda Nobunaga want to stop him? Why was Nobunaga so under-strength? Did he not have any allies or other reinforcements? How was Imagawa Yoshimoto significant in the context of the period?
  • Supporting Materials: The infobox and photo are sufficient for a B-class. In the future, a battlefield map would be helpful. Also, map coordinates of the battlefield or of a modern-day monument to the battle would be very helpful.
