(Sounds as though he was at a disadvantage since the opposing forces are not enumerated as to type)

The War of Cisplatine or The War over Cisplatina had only two land battles: Ituzaingó (or Battle of Passo do Rosário) and Sarandí. The remainder were small clashes of no importance for the war result. Carmen de Patagones was a mere guerilla fight against Brazilian small force.
