Comment edit

As a courtesy I am leaving a notice that I am preparing a new, expanded and sourced version of this article in my Userspace (using the current page as a basis). It should be pasted up here in a week or two. If anyone has any comments then by all means drop me a line.--Jackyd101 (talk) 20:32, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed this link which I don't think is that useful but I case any one wants it, its available here. (in French) La chute des Mascareignes--Jackyd101 (talk) 18:05, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Excellent article. And nice use of illustrations and the map. First read about this battle in a book by the historian Paul Fregosi and have been interested in it since then. Good to see its been given such dedicated treatment on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.174.8.253 (talk) 15:20, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fictional version edit

A slightly fictionalized version of this battle, with most of the details at least roughly accurate, appears in the novel The Mauritius Command by Patrick O'Brian. It seems to me that this fact is worth a brief mention in the article. DES (talk) 11:28, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

It is mentioned, in the Aftermath section--Jackyd101 (talk) 14:49, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
That sentence now moved to new section In literature. --Prairieplant (talk) 12:38, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
