Why I tagged the article for citation style

There are several references given with just the author's last name and the year. This is inadequate. It would be better to include proper inline references which provide the reader with the name of the book, the publisher and the full name of the author, as well as the page number where the fact can be verified. The use of these citations can create the impression that the text might have been copied from some other work which in fact did include full bibliographic information.
