Now I read it and although the search engine indicated that this document has information about Basile Adjou Moumouni it only states: Sergeant A gboton, and Adjutants Sedagondji and Moumouni (the latter was killed by de Souza during the attack). Two other officers whom qualified observers regard as powerful figures are Captains Michel Aikepe and Janvier Assogba, both stationed in Ouidah. --Stone (talk) 14:24, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Hmm... It is short. While I know articles don't have to be long to be comprehensive, this is pushing it. I don't really want to be failing this however, because there may still be some information available. Have you looked at any of the books here? Most are in snippet view, but one or two look like they might be worth tracking down in a library. Do you know anyone who speaks French? Getting a translation of the 'About the Author' on his book might yield some information. Nope, and I can never find anyone who speaks good enough French to help verify (or translate) anything. See Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/1964 Gabon coup d'état/archive1. I'm currently tracking down Dov Ronen's book, though as usual that takes 10-12 days. From what I can gather the only mention of him in these Dahomeyan history books is as a tidbit. I don't know if this makes him notable, though I'd say winning an election under any circumstances guarantees it. I guess I'll also hunt down Moumouni's book, though I'd bet that it is not even located in my state and will take even longer. Isn't it customary to improve the article to C, then B class first before GA? Its still a start class in my book, not comprehensive enough for GA yet. According to the Historical Dictionary of Dahomey (People's Republic of Benin)‎ he is some 20 years older than this article states, he was born in Cotonou on October 5, 1922 accoridng to this. The note of his age (born 1942 and 1943) is completely wrong evne in the reference. It clearly says that New York Times mention of the "45 year old physician" was in 1968 see the bottom. This would also confirm he was born in 1922. Please be careful with things like this Ed. The Bald One ^{White cat} 19:49, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Given the amount of work that still needs to be done, I'm not going to pass this. As Dr. Blofeld said, this still is a bit of being comprehensive. It may happen that there isn't enough information about him to get an article to GA, but who knows. In any case, it'd be great to see the article submitted for review later on. OK Ed, easy mistake to make. But I was surprised you didn't see his birth date as wehn you search his name in google books it comes up as the third or fourth entry. I hope you can expand it to reach GA but a Beninese physician article is a tough call for finding online info!! Best thing to do would be to borrow the Dictionary of Dahomey/Benin or something.
