Odd contradiction

edit

I noticed that the article first said that Basal West Africans diverged "from either the last common ancestor of the San people and all other modern humans, or humans and Neanderthals", but then the article explicitly states that "Basal West Africans did not split before Neanderthals split from modern humans", which would rule out the claim above that Basal West Africans could have possibly diverged from the last common ancestor of modern humans and Neanderthals. I've attempted to reconcile the contradiction by stating that this would rule out the upper estimate of the approximation (1,020,000 BP) as Neanderthals had not split from modern humans yet at 1,020,000 BP, but there are possibly other solutions.
