edit@RaffiKojian: Hey! I was wondering if you possibly knew anything about this village, if its an abandoned village or if it exists at all? I can't find any references to it anywhere when searching online except for statistical pages and it doesn't seem like Google Maps in satellite mode show any structures at the coordinates stated on the page. @AntonSamuel: Hey there! Nothing named that comes up in the 2011 census, plus the GPS location is a spot I hiked past recently and there was certainly nothing anywhere around there (which satellite imagery confirms). It's right by the ruins of Mantashaberd, not that it has any relevance. It seems safe to say such a place does not exist with that name, nor in that location. Incidentally you can see the 2011 census data broken out by villages at https://www.armstat.am/en/?nid=187 - though once you click on the Marz you'd like to view, you have to switch to Armenian, and then click on the pdf file under 1.3, which in the case of Tavush is labeled: "Աղյուսակ 1.3 ՀՀ Տավուշի մարզի առկա և մշտական բնակչությունն ըստ վարչատարածքային միավորների և սեռի" --RaffiKojian (talk) 11:09, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
@RaffiKojian: Thanks for the feedback and info! Would you then say that it would be appropriate to nominate the article for deletion? Or just to remove it from the Tavush Province template? AntonSamuel (talk) 22:07, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- @AntonSamuel: No prob! I'd say it's safe to remove the article. --RaffiKojian (talk) 05:06, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- The source (https://geonames.nga.mil/namesgaz/) says it's an unverified historical record with a termination date of 2016-09-26. Peter James (talk) 20:30, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
