General consensus? edit

I'm just a humble fan here but I would dispute that there is a general consensus that this is the best try ever. What about L'essai du bout du monde or Saint André's 1991 try against England or Kirwin's 1987 one against Italy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.102.88.202 (talk) 18:32, 28 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. The sources listed (both from the UK...) don't even support the statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.215.191 (talk) 09:43, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Copyright and Madambot edit

I actually took the text concerned from the Gareth Edwards page. We are talking about a historic quote, so clearly most of it will be duplicated elsewhere. However, it is clear that the introducing sentence was also copied from the reference page - I have reworded that. (Perhaps someone should do the same on the Edwards page!) There's no copyright violation here, [1] is obviously copying Wikipedia, not the other way round, and you don't need to reword anything. It's OK to take text from other articles as long as you attribute where you got it from (Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia). Hut 8.5 10:36, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
