This article needs some serious work before it can be considered for GAN. Issues that need to be resolved:

• Much of the article (specifically Personal Life and Writing career) uses Kingsolver's official website as a source. This is not good. The article should be sourced with independent third-party sources. The Writing career section in particular is a major violation of WP:OR, as the source given is just a list of books. I think you need to visit the library and find books written about Kingsolver rather than books written by her.
• The article has eight two-line paragraphs. These should be expanded, merged, or deleted.
• If Barbara's works "frequently contain social commentary on issues such as immigration, ecology, political responsibility and social justice" as the lead claims, then there should be a section on Common themes or Writing style as can be seen in Honoré de Balzac and Gabriel García Márquez.
• The introduction needs to be reworked per WP:LEAD. It should adequately summarize all the major sections of the article without introducing new material (such as the unsourced and entirely useless "She has lived in Kentucky, Arizona, Greece, the Canary Islands, England, Mexico, and Asia. She currently lives on a farm in rural Virginia with her family.")
