Tagging

edit

I have tagged this article with cleanup, cites, notability and copyedit tag.

1) Cleanup/Inline Cites: There are NPOV issues in the article, especially the second sentence which states "one of the private best" which appears to be opinion, although a reference and rewording might also solve the problem. The article has numerous referencing issues, which is in spite of the fact that there are references. The article needs many more references, and it would be helpful if the references were added in a fashion that made it more clear what they were references for. The article also fails to explain notability due to the error in sentence two.

Attempted to re-word text to avoid NPOV (WP:NPOV) and weasel word (WP:Avoid weasel words) issues. Significant issues still persist, so tag cleanup tag remains. Have not yet attempted a correction of the inline cites issues.Jo7hs2 (talk) 14:19, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

2) Copyedit: The article has some formatting issues, and could use a workover by someone who is good at copyediting.

I have made many corrections in this regard, but copyediting still required, so tag remains.Jo7hs2 (talk) 14:19, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

3) Notability: The article fails to explain why the school merits inclusion in Wikipedia, which is an encyclopedia. See WP:ORG.

The article makes a claim of notability, but does not prove it with sources. I have not re-added the tag. Jo7hs2 (talk) 14:19, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

There has been significant improvement in the article, so I hope these issues are addressed, and the tags can be removed. Jo7hs2 (talk) 14:29, 27 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Improvements

edit

I have made a number of changes to help bring the article in line with Wikipedia standards. If you can help, please do so!Jo7hs2 (talk) 02:14, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think many of these sections are not needed and the article probably provides too much information. Jo7hs2 (talk) 03:10, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I deleted the visitors section. It really isn't relevant. I've noted the sections I feel aren't required with tagging. Jo7hs2 (talk) 03:15, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Put it back temporarily to see if some comments on why it is needed, along with the others marked, come about. Jo7hs2 (talk) 03:31, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article doesn't specify whether "Independence & National Day" is a holiday from Bangladesh or Qatar. Can somebody specify? Jo7hs2 (talk) 14:14, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:Cleanup Discussion

edit

I've manually listed this article with WP:Cleanup as an article in need of help. The sourcing issues are beyond what I can do with the article. This section can serve as the discussion for any changes made persuant to this listing with WP:Cleanup. Jo7hs2 (talk) 21:58, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note to IP editors

Tags and markings such as "citation needed" are important markers of where an article needs improvement. They should not be removed unless they are incorrect, or the problem they indicate has been solved. Thank you. Jo7hs2 (talk) 03:31, 19 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
