Contrary to the entry under "Transportation, Land" Bandar Seri Begawan does not have road connections to all parts of the country. The eastern (?) part of Brunei is only accessible over water. Passage by land would require going through Malaysia, but even then, there is no available road through the relevant parts of Malaysia.

Exports include "peebles"?? Is that a real thing? 220.101.68.138 (talk) 06:28, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Confusion

"Seri Begawan was named after the Sultan's late father Sir Omar Ali Saifuddien on October 5, 1970, its original name being Bandar Brunei. Begawan is a name given to Bruneian monarchs who have abdicated, originally coming from the Sanskrit word for "god". Bandar, comes from Persian بندر and means "port" or "haven" (bandar means "town" in Malay)."

Doesn't actually explain where Seri comes from. I can't really make a mental link between Sir Omar Ali Saifuddien and Seri. Sir omAR alI? Perhaps someone can explain this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex Klotz (talkcontribs) 15:29, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Population

According to the CIA World factbook, the population is c.22,000, while Wolfram Alpha says it is c.64409. What's with the wildly varying numbers?ZFT (talk) 00:35, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
