Untitled edit

As depicted on the cover, "BAKER BOYS: INSIDE THE SURGE" is capitalized and should be reflected as such. Moreover, the series has three separate release dates. Bullmoosebell (talk) 00:28, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please review WP:VANDALISM. What about my edit do you think is incorrect? BOVINEBOY2008 13:01, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I appreciate your help in editing this page. Understand that many approaches to our military references (documentary films, unit pages, et cetera) have been to simply impugn our motives, given the perpetrator's biased view(s).
  • The information regarding the three separate release dates (Television release, Film Festival release, and DVD release) are factual and accurate, per the references cited. Moreover, the template allows up to five dates with no parameters required (see film date). However, I understand your desire to limit the number of release dates to one in the infobox to give the page a clean look, with the remaining dates to be included in the body of the article. Assisting us with this edit is appreciated.
  • Specifying stylization of the title looks ridiculous. The actual title is "BAKER BOYS:INSIDE THE SURGE" as standardized military writing format, historically, is all capital letters. Despite the objection of military traditionalists, it is likewise the typographic house style of parameters to capitalize only the first letter of operational names. In addition to being distracting, the practice of setting operational names in all capitals, while historically accurate, can be confusing and make them appear as acronyms. Our choice in this matter shall been for clarity over strict historical accuracy, IAW AR 25-20.
  • In regards to the credits list, I have moved the proper crew credits within the infobox television film template.
  • While social networking sites are generally not accepted, there is no ban on linking to YouTube (see WP:YT), specifically citing the template available & youtube & wikipedia being linked. Considering the external YouTube link is to the official channel of the film, it is allowed. However, the external links to the official websites of Baker Company's hierarchy as well as the production & distribution companies are permitted and can be discussed or criticized, per MOS:FILM#Documentaries. The Facebook link will not be replaced, but the links to YouTube, the chain of command, production companies, and support companies will remain.
Thanks, again, for your help with this. Bullmoosebell (talk) 00:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the explanation. Your edits are good and I just didn't understand why you were editing the way you did. Just make sure, in the future, you assume good-faith when working with other editors. BOVINEBOY2008 06:14, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
