The cited source says that Pietro Zeno was bailo in 1277–78 and Morosini after. No Dondulo. Morgan also has no Dondulo but a Pietro in 1276–77. The list probably need to be updated with newer sources than Hopf, but removing Zeno seems like a mistake. According to Morgan, it's Andrea Dandolo Beretta that should go. You can see Hopf's sources here. Srnec (talk) 21:26, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Srnec. It is a problem that the DBI entry does not mention his sources for that information inline. However, since it is *much* more recent, and Pozza appears to have a good knowledge of what he is writing about (he is the author of a study Acri e Negroponte: un capitolo delle relazioni fra Venezia e Carlo I d'Angiò (1277-1282)), I certainly tend to lend it more credence than Hopf. I agree with your changes, and will keep having a look as to whether I can also find some sources to improve the referencing for this list. Constantine ✍ 12:24, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
