Distances
The Badwater Ultramarathon route begins by heading north from Badwater and covers 135 miles, but the true bearing and distance of Whitney is approximately 85 miles to the west of Badwater. Badwater Ultramarathon discussed the difference, so I didn't clarify the two mileages in Badwater... Sanguinity 04:25, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

Unofficial 135 deg temperature

Unit inconsistency
While it's a cute fact that at an 150 inch annual evaporation rate you could dry up a 12 foot lake in a year, the SI unit version makes less sense: a 3800mm rate can dry up a 3.7m lake in a year means we're missing 10cm somewhere. Perhaps just condense the whole thing in "...because the 1.9 in (48 mm) of average rainfall is overwhelmed by a 150 in (12 ft or 3,8 m) annual evaporation rate." and leave the whole "this means..." out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.117.16.56 (talk) 11:46, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
