Expert attention
editPlease read the archive. I also attempted to get help with the article on the task force page. (no reply) There appears to be some controversy about whether the awards made after the first three are indeed the Badge of Military Merit. I'm not sure if the claim that the subsequent awards are also BMMs is wishful thinking from descendents or something on which historians need to do more research. "Lost" history, if you will. Scholarly references are needed. Many websites, including purpleheart.org, are starting to use this page as reference, which complicates web-only research. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the topic is controversial. A reliable source noting the controversy would be a good addition, even if the question is not resolved.
