Ram Khobragade
Earlier Life:
Ram Khobragade Studied at Milind College of Arts, Aurangabad (1963-64) and Janta College, Chandrapur (1965-68) and worked in Ordance Factory Chanda from 1968-77. During Student life, he was associated with the University Students Union in sixties.
BAMCEF Journey: One of the founder members of BAMCEF(1978), DS-4 and BSP and was very closely associate with Kanshiramji,then the President of BAMCEF. He joined him in 1977 to build-up Fule Ambedkar mission and movement all over India in the initial days. As a National Secretary of BAMCEF, he did his best to extend, expand and consolidate the organisational network of BAMCEF in U.P, M.P,Rajasthan,Gujarat, Andhrapradesh, Karnataka, J&K, Haryana and Delhi, while in the job in IFCI at New Delhi. Ram Khobaragde was the person who heard the speech of Ms.Mayawati at a school function when she was just a student leader. Then he enrolled her in BAMCEF Delhi Unit and introduced her to Kanshiram, the President of BAMCEF. This was the point for Ms. Maywati to start her Political career. Mr.Ram Khobragade and Ms.Mayawati worked in Delhi Central Unit of BAMCEF till 1986. After the BAMCEF Split in 1986, he joined the Trade Union Activity and Social work. He was in touch with Mr. Kanshiram and invited him for first Dalit International Conference in Malaysia in 1998.
BAMCEF Publication: As in -charge of BAMCEF publication he edited all the publications from New Delhi viz THE OPPRESSED INIDA,BAHUJAN SANGATHAK, BAHUJAN TIMES(HINDI DAILY)ECONOMIC UPSURGE,ARTHIK UTTHAN AND BAHUJAN SAHITYA.
Post BAMCEF Life:
HE was CHIEF EDITOR OF HINDI MONTHLY-JAN ANDOLAN KA SAJAG PRAHARI, published from New Delhi for 3 years from 1995-1998.
He was Organising Secretary of International Dalit Organisation for First World Dalit Conference held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1998. He was General Secretary of All India IFCI Employees Association New Delhi.
He was Convenor of the Coordination committee of IFCI officers & Employees Association.
Presently Activist for National Fule Ambedkar Unification Movement. And trustee of Dr. Ambedkar Memorial High School Bhadrawati, Chandrapur District Maharashtra.
