• Comment Facebook is by definition self-published and not a WP:RS. Plus we don't usually give much weight to such stylizations. Do you have any reliable printed sources to support this move? In ictu oculi (talk) 00:54, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

More to the point do we have any sources to support Wikipedia:Notability (music) for this bio? An All-music review is not enough to keep a bio on someone. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:56, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Christinizio has two albums on One Little Indian, which passes WP:MUSIC. Allmusic does corroborate this and so would be enough to keep the bio. I'll note that B.C. Camplight is the stylization used on both of his releases. Chubbles (talk) 02:29, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Common mistake, IIO. WP:SELFPUB doesn't mean unreliable, simply that it must be used with caution. Self-published sources are explicitly allowed for information about the subject themselves, under certain criteria which all seem to be met here. --BDD (talk) 17:29, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

• Strongly Oppose If there are any reliable sources saying he legally changed the stylization, then perhaps we may reconsider. However, since you only provided Facebook, then it should stay. It's about equivalent to say, Brad Pitt telling his friends that he calls himself Fred Farkleson. Unless he legally changes his name, then the article shouldn't be moved, at least imo.   • Actually MOS:TM would seem to favor the move: it states, "Using all caps is preferred if the letters are pronounced individually, even if they don't stand for anything. For instance, use SAT for the (U.S.) standardized test or KFC for the fast food restaurant.". The "BC" is not clearly derived from a name (it might be initializing Brian Christinizio, but I don't have a source corroborating that. It could just stand for nothing.).     • The topline instruction is "editors should choose among styles already in use by sources (not invent new ones) and choose the style that most closely resembles standard English, regardless of the preference of the trademark owner." Dicklyon (talk) 21:28, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Recent removals

I'd like to open up a discussion with the anonymous editor who keeps removing cited information from this page. As I've noted in edit summaries and on my talk page, the information you're removing is directly confirmed by the sources provided; Christinizio was open in interviews about drug addiction, alcohol abuse, and depression. They were focal points of the interviews cited. Christinizio cannot libel himself, as you have asserted on my talk page, and I cannot imagine how this being on Wikipedia would have affected his Visa status, since the information is already out there reported by major news websites (and I have no idea how you would know his Visa was still being denied, anyway). This content meets our criteria of WP:V and WP:RS, and is not subject to redaction as a result of WP:BLP, since it is reported in reliable media. Please let me know if there is any further explanation I need to give for why I have reverted your edits, or if there is any further evidence you have which would challenge my argument. Thank you.
