Why does this article link to Peter Dens? He was a Catholic theologian and doesn't have anything to do with the subject of this article.

This seems to have been solved: there’s no link to Peter Dens in the article, as far as I can see.--Geke (talk) 15:17, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Ossification of axis

I have proposed this merge, between the 'ossification' page and this article, because:

• There is no need for the information on ossification to be hidden away on a separate article. This means the information is not presented as it could be, and it is needlessly fragmented.
• It is standard on Anatomy pages, and recommended in WP:MEDMOS#Anatomy, for 'Development' sections to be displayed on the same page.
• Additionally, this page is small and it would give more context to have the information displayed in a central location, rather than hidden on a separate article.
• If necessary, the article on ossification could be expanded at a later date. LT910001 (talk) 07:18, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Dens (anatomy)

No reason for these pages to be separate; having the dens displayed on the same page gives more context to the information and will likely improve the quality of the information on both pages by removing duplication; additionally improves the readability for readers and reduces needless fragmentation LT910001 (talk) 23:33, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Agreed. I don't know why all of these vertebral articles are so fractured and in multiple articles for parts of the same bone. WiiWillieWiki 21:59, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Is "dens" plural?

I would say "dens" (as used in this article) is singular. Wiktionary also says that the plural of "dens" is "dentes". Still, the article uses "dens" as if it’s plural. What can be taken as a good reference to determine this question?--Geke (talk) 15:14, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
