Stillwell's car(s). Is it a Brabham-Repco or a Brabham-Climax? If there were Brabham-Climaxes, then why is Repco there? If it's a sponsor, then do we need to look up sponsors for all cars, or just the ones Repco were involved with? The parralel to draw is the recent Jaguar F1 team. The team wanted the engines to be referred to as Jaguars, but everyone else called them Cosworths as they were the same as engines being used by other teams. Similarly the Repco-Brabham phrase, it's comparable to the recent BMW-Williams F1 team. While they are referred to in entry lists as BMW-Williams, when broken down into the convention of Chassis-Engine they became Williams BMW. Are we to have one rule for some and not for others? I used data published in www.camsmanual.com.au and www.formula3.com.au fo rmy listing. I knew that there was information missing from these but I was driven by the Wikipedia requirement to quote verifiable sources, so I considered it better to use what I could find rather than add facts (eg engine manufacturer) which I could remember but not easily quote sources for. Having said that I think your list is 300% better than the published lists that I used for the article. If the changes can be verified, lets improve the list.

The reason why Brabhams were referred to as Repco-Brabhams in Australia in the mid sixties was due to a marketing arrangement that Repco and Brabham had in this country. Hence these early models were known as Repco-Brabham Climaxes, Repco-Brabham Fords etc. Not really sponsorship in my opinion. Unfortunately I don't think I have any verification for this. Just a vivid memory of having read it in a Brabham history book some years ago. I certainly agree with your view on Chassis / Engine as the rule for formula car descriptions, unfortunately sometimes constructors don't want to follow our rules. Sources for this include the Chevron 50 race Australian GP book, a couple of Tasman Series websies, which by co-incidence are also listed as sources for the Tasman Series article, with some data coming from an F5000 site... --Falcadore 10:03, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

1969-71

I note there those series are listed as AF2 series. Weren't they Formula 5000 series that just happened to be won by a AF2? If mutiple classes ran in the series it should say. Similarly weren't Formula 1 eligible for at least 1980 ADC? --Falcadore (talk) 07:13, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I have amended the table with the relevant CAMS formulae names. This does not provide an explanation of the year by year components of these formulae but I believe that would be better addressed within specific articles for “Australian National Formula”, “Australian Formula 1” etc rather than on the ADC page.
