Augustamnica
editThere are a number of historical and religious (Church history) references to Augustamnica as a province / place in Ancient Roman and modern Church history.
At this stage, all information has been included in the one article though some consideration should be given to separating the information more than it currently is.
I should be noted that as far as I can tell, there is no specific correlation between the old (Ancient Roman) Augustamnica and the more modern 1600s to 1900s Augustamnica (as a suffixed 'province') except that the modern variation might have been named in tribute to the ancient province. There certainly doesn't seem to be any direct follow-through from the old (ending 600s AD) to the new (starting 1600s AD).
Either way, both the old and the new are in desperate need of more information. gcatholic.com has a number of references to the new modern sees (lists of Archbishops) but not much more.
Please feel free to contribute if you have more information.
