A small town in Bracken County on the Ohio River.
It has a small public school system--one school. Its most famous graduate being, actor George Clooney. He played baseball at Augusta High School. George's aunt Rosemary maintained a home here until her death.
At one time Augusta had a small Methodist college. It is now known for it colorful scenery, antique shops and bed and breakfasts.
The map is wrong. Augusta is located across the Ohio River from Ohio, but the map is showing Augusta across from Indiana. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.143.43.148 (talk) 18:06, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- The lat/long coordinates were off. I fixed it. --Nealparr (talk to me) 10:31, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
