I'm sorry if I dont know how this works, but this article has a very bad mistake. "Lyrics talk about a short-lived love (referenced by "she had been mine for a day") for a girl called Aubrey and furthermore Gates' like for that name." This is an interpretation, and a wrong at that. The sentence in the song before this states "And I'd go a million times around the world just to say: She had been mine for a day." Using the word "would" makes it ambiguous. At no point in the song the singer states that they actually had a relationship. The singer talks more about the fact that they never had a relationship, for example "But who's to blame for a love that wouldn't bloom, for the hearts that never played in tune". The point of this text is not to cite the song but to point out the obvious misinterpretation. The lyrics do not talk about a short-lived love. They talk about a love that never happened. I do not know if the writer has stated that he was talking about a short-lived love in the song but the lyrics do not state this. I think that the sentence should be "Lyrics talk about a love that never happened for a girl called Aubrey and furthermore Gates' like for that name."

Groover Washington, Jr.

Year after (1973) Grover Washington, Jr. released "Soul Box" album with "Aubrey" on it. I think it's a jazz version worth to mention in the article. Year? Musicians?
