I think this article needs to be expanded (not necessarily by much) since it is only a sentence long. I did a quick search in the literature and found that the conjecture has been solved for n = 3 (by Atiyah himself) and n = 4, so this would be nice to mention, as well as the progress/outlook for n ≥ 5. I also think we need to either write down what the "certain n × n matrix" is, or else reword the article so as to not mention the matrix (in my understanding, the nonsingularity of the matrix is equivalent to the linear independence of some complex polynomials).
