Hand amputated? edit

His hand didnt amputated because he failed to make the dome of the mosque bigger and higher than Hagia Sofia. The reason was he shortened two marble columns without permission from the emperor. He was accused of damaging state property. Later in defence he said he did it because safety of the buildig. After the collapse of the building in 1509 earthquake he judged again and executed because he lied.

Mustafa III edit

In the introduction it reads: Atik Sinan was an Ottoman architect for Mehmed II and Mustafa III during the 15th century. Are you sure ? Mehmet II lived in the 15th century and Mustafa III lived in the 18th century. I'll call the author. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 13:43, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • I tried to reach the editor Mallaccaos with no success. But the inconsistency is evident. Since Atik Sinan was known to had been died in 1471, it is clear that he never worked for Mustafa III who reigned between 1757-1774. I cleared out Mustafa III's name. Age and year of death edit

"He died (1588) at the age of 90." There must be a mash-up between Mimar Sinan and Atik Sinan in this article. As user talk put is: "Since Atik Sinan was known to had been died in 1471" - this is not gonna work. If he would have died in 1588, he would have been 100something by the time of his death...
