Introduction

edit

The beginning paragraph is too terse. Someone reading it who doesn't already know what Aston Down is will start reading "Aston Down is located..." and conclude that it is therefore a place, but what sort of place? A town? A village? Then the second paragraph starts "The airfield was..." Hold on, the town/village has an airfield? Why didn't it say so in the first paragraph? Oh, right, it _is_ an airfield! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.198.141.216 (talk) 22:20, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Some information about the military history of the site would be helpful.

I've now added a good deal of material, including a photo of the airfield, based on the Gliding Club website. There is also a link to WWI photos of the Australian Flying Corps. All this should help to provide a wider context. --NigelG (or Ndsg) | Talk 17:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
