Talk:Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business/Archives/2016

Latest members

Listing founding members makes sense, but I can see no justification for listing "latest members". What would make sense is if we listed them all. This ccould be done with copyvio by organizing the data appropriately. DGG ( talk ) 01:16, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

I agree. Audit Guy (talk) 05:02, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

"In addition to accrediting schools around the world in both business and accounting, the association also is the professional development organization for the business education community, conducting a wide array of conference and seminar programs at various locations around the world. For students seeking the a quality business education and companies seeking high-caliber business talent, one of the most important criteria to consider is international accreditation. By choosing an AACSB-accredited school, students can be sure they have access to high quality faculty, continually updated curricula, and real-world relevance that prepares student for the job market. Prospective employers know that graduates of AACSB-accredited schools are prepared to perform"

This sounds like an advertisement vs. an encyclopedia entry....

Why is it that the AACSB is deemed superior to other business school accreditations? Is it because business schools originated in the USA? Or, is it a historical prejudice, borne out of the fact that AACSB is nearly a century old? This only serves to undermine the efforts of the institutions that qualify for different accreditations. An example of an accreditation that is "unrecognised" by AACSB is the European Quality Improvement System, which itself has rigorous standards.
