Chartered Status Dispute

About the dispute of whether ACCA is royal chartered: There is only one status, either one body is Royal Chartered, or is not. There is no legal status as Chartered Certified in UK or any other Commonwealth Realms. Chartered Certified is a patent name, not legal status. I don't think when Privy Council issuing the Royal Charter to the then Association of Certified Accountants, they bore in mind that this piece of paper was half-charter. Similarly after gaining the Chartered Status, ACCA added the Chartered prefix to the original Certified Accountants designation to reflect this status change and the body is thereafter regulated by a Royal Charter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lukayl (talkcontribs) 12:37, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
