Capitalization and formatting
edit@Eejit43: Hey, just wanted to discuss why you reverted my edit. I hate to be pedantic, but I want there to be consistency in the Wikiproject.
In MOS:JOBTITLES, we only capitalize "When a formal title for a specific entity (or conventional translation thereof) is addressed as a title or position in and of itself, is not plural, is not preceded by a modifier (including a definite or indefinite article)". The word "Canada's" or "The" would indicate it is not appropriate to capitalize.
I'm also confused why you restored "Canada's" before the position, since that isn't the format we use in other articles.
Thanks, —WildComet talk 21:29, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- @WildComet I certainly think there should be discussion in regards to this. From what I have seen, the general standard is to have the currently present capitalization, not in sentence case.
- Regarding "Canada's", I don't neceessary agree with that, I simply just reverted your edit, which included that change. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 21:35, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Looking deeper into this, I think you may be right, as pages such as Minister of Natural Resources follow that standard. I'll revert my revert, but I still think further discussion should occur, unless a precedent was set in the past. Thanks, and sorry about that! :) ~ Eejit43 (talk) 21:36, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
