Asin was one of the prominent bands from the Philippines in the 1970s. See Pinoy_rock#1970s. It even influenced apl.de.ap. Please don't delete this article. --Jojit (talk) 05:32, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

This article should not be deleted; however an identical article can be found in WikiPilipinas.[1] Asin has influenced many generations of musicians including apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas. Maybe it can be re-directed for disambiguation, with information from here transferred to WikiPilipinas.

ASIN were a huge influence on Filipino music, respect for the environment, respect for indigenous cultures and they also had a political influence. I would rally like to help to expand this article but as I am named in it and have worked for them it could leave me open to a charge of bias. Please can I ask for suggestions or the ethics of editing an article you are mentioned in? However this article should never be deleted it must be corrected and expanded. - Craig Burrows Gorio1964
