Transliterion

Seems to me not all readers are savvy in the ways of Japanese writing. Why usn't there Romaji for the album names? --Anon

The transliterations of the song titles were in a previous version, so I reinserted those into the article. It doesn't particularly make much sense why they were \\removed\\ in the first place. --Chris Love 00:48, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

Cleanup

This article has several places in which the writing does not sound professional enough. I'll work on it as I have time, but I would like some help. --^demon 03:22, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

Cleaned up the page a little, but I'm having a hard time understanding the precise meaning of some of the original author's content. --Silencery 08:42, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

Facts

Can anyone confirm that Gotoh Masafumi wrote "Krafty"? New Order Official Site doesnt mention it at all. --Tennotsukai 01:38, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Anime trivia

I realize this is trivial, but I have to ask... the opening theme in Full Metal Alchemist for the last few episodes (past the 40 or so mark) changes to a new opening theme, which to me anyway, whose lead singer sounds strikingly like AKG's. Is this a coincidence, or is actually a Kungfu Generation song? --maru (talk) contribs 01:58, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes. --TcDohl 14:58, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

The opening changes to Rewrite by AKG at episode 41. The opening aired on adultswim prior to this was actually the 2nd opening not used for nearly as many episodes as adult swim played it. From what I understand, there was some deal to promote L'arc~en~ciel's song READY STEADY GO.

Vandalism

I've noticed that there's been a lot of vandalism on this article by some anonymous user 216.114.154.114 -- How does one go about banning or doing something similar? --TcDohl 02:58, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Right title

Why is there a redirect from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, if that is the right title for the page. Note, it is not a technical restriction to have the page here, it is policy, and as such the template is misleading. Ansell 00:08, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Get rid of it then. I couldn't figure out any other way to say ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION was the correct name. o_o; Also, it's safe to assume someone made an article named Asain Kung-fu Generation before someone made one named ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. urutapu 00:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
I moved the article. I hope it's not a breach of policy. --KJ 14:36, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Anime publicity

Why is it that the Opening for naruto is not mentioned anywhere? I noticed several mentions in the page histroy, but it seems to have fallen through the cracks.

Well, it's pretty unnecessary. The only reason FMA is mentioned at all is because "Rewrite" is the A-side and title track of a single CD, and "Haruka Kanata" isn't.—urutapu 01:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Copied information

I'm not sure why the Member profiles section has a history of the band when there was a history already as the first section. I may have missed small details but overall it seemed to be stating the same things as the History section. Should it be deleted? I took the initiave to delete the section but apparently it's considered vandalism. Oh well.

I would say so, there's no need to put the information twice. It also seems that a lot of the information that was added was directly taken from a website and done so in a poor manner. Sticking smilies and random plugs for the site in a lot of the article Kazuhara 19:29, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Removed Clean Up Tags

The page has undergone some rather large edits in the past few months and the tag was added in November of last year so I thought that it was rather unnecessary to have it anymore. Kazuhara 19:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Kanji/Kana

I added in kanji and kana for the songs and album names as well as the members' names. This felt a bit excessive, so I'm not sure if this is ok or not. --Wirbelwind 19:38, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Song Titles

Why are some song titles translated to english and some not (and some partially)? Anyone against me putting in the translations? CPitt76 03:50, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

I believe some are because they're licensed in North America. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 04:08, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Overhauled album section

I thought the album section could be much improved by giving each album its own separate page, and then placing it all in a gallery. Probably the first large edit I've done, so I hope it's okay. H4cksaw 20:45, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to revert some good stuff, but I reverted it because it was using fair use album covers in a gallery which isn't allowed in this case. A better idea would just be to text link the album pages. 76.178.95.219 03:17, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, okay, I'll do that then. Before I do though, would you mind explaining to me why articles such as Breaking Benjamin + Red Hot Chili Peppers Discography both use a gallery like this? Thanks. H4cksaw 10:25, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Miscellaneous section

Is there a particular reason why a lot of this section is in capitals? Seems a bit unnecessary, but maybe I'm missing something? H4cksaw 10:53, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Japanese people (musicians) have a capital fetish. 76.178.95.219 02:14, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
That is incorrect and blatantly stupid as well as slightly racist. The reason is that romajii text is usually capitalized in order to simplify reading for Japanese people, who might not know English as well and therefore could have trouble with lower-case letters. Ryuugaki 05:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Ah I see, thanks for explaining. But do we really need to keep the capitals in an encyclopedia? H4cksaw 10:20, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Nevermind, I read WP:MOSCL and WP:MOSTM which both say to change solid capitals into title case, so that's what I've done. H4cksaw 09:07, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

It seems the autolink(?) for Takahiro Yamada links to someone else of the same name. 63.110.234.194 06:20, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Good point. I'll unlink them all for now, as none of them have an article. H4cksaw 23:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Nano-Mugen Compilation

Could the two Nano-Mugen Compilation albums be made into there own seperate articles? Mr.K-Fan 10:28, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, they could actually, if you're feeling up to the task. =) -Panser Born- (talk) 13:20, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Made it feel free to edit as you see fit and give me tips, on what i could improve Mr.K-Fan 17:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
That looks pretty good, I'll make a few changes a bit later for you. Cheers, -Panser Born- (talk) 18:41, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
I've just got a small question - are the Nano-Mugen albums live? -Panser Born- (talk) 09:39, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
No they are not Mr.K-Fan 20:28, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

shorty

this page is way too short to cover AKFG's influence on j-rock music!! it talks more about albums and singles released than it does about the actual band.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.68.248.229 (talk) 01:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

If you've got references, feel free to expand it. -Panser Born- (talk) 08:16, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

thats why i asked you. its hard to find stuff about them. what you've done is already pretty good though. maybe they're just a really private band.

Album Title romanization : 君繋ファイブエム

The first Asian Kung-Fu Generation album: 君繋ファイブエム is romanized Kimi Tsunagi Five M. Do we have any evidence that it is read this way rather than Kunkei Five M Typically Kanji#Readings compounds are read with their On'yomi reading which would render the title as Kunkei Five M.--Saul T 13:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

The beginning of the Japanese article is as follows: "君繋ファイブエム(きみつなぎ-)は…"—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 18:26, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
