I'm redirecting this back to The_Purpose_Driven_Life#Ashley_Smith, as the only reason it was un-redirected was because the PDR article had its information about Smith blanked from the page. The reason the other article lacked this information about her is because someone decided that she was not pertinent to the article about the book. It was probably done with good will, but her capture and detainment was ultimately what made the book as notable as it became. While the capture event is what initially started all of this, most people predominantly know of her in relation to the Purpose Driven Life. They know she was captured and held prisoner, but most aren't really all that aware of Nichols whereas most associate her with PDR. There is also more about her in the PDR article as there's more freedom to elaborate on what she's done since then.
