Artisan isn't an adjective, artisinal is, and "traditional" or "subsitence" are better terms.

Yes, "traditional" or "subsistence" would be about 1000x better. For some reason, "traditional fishing" and "subsistence fishing" redirect to "artisanal fishing", which gets the relationship exactly backwards. - Apotheon (talk) 14:54, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Scoring and suggested article improvements edit

This article has been chosen for monitoring and improvement by the Stockholm Environment Institute SDG 14 project (see here). We will be monitoring improvements to July 2022 using a scoring tool devised of both automated and expert evaluation. The score for the entire article on Feb 11, 2021 was 64.6/100. For the lead it was 40.7/100. Suggested article improvements:

  • more examples from different countries
  • article needs more detail and sections - the footer template is rather good is full of linked terms and should be the basis for a more comprehensive article
  • the lead image could use a more complete caption
  • the several images in the article could use more complete captions. ASRASR (talk) 14:32, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Housekeeping comment: we didn't get around to making further improvements as part of the mentioned project. I hope someone else will... EMsmile (talk) 15:10, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
