CIA mention

I'm not sure why the final quote (about the CIA) is included. Is the implication that the CIA was responsible for Kennedy's assignation? How does this relate to Arthur Krok's journalistic career? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WetcoastTJL (talk • contribs) 16:46, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

I agree. The "Journalism" section as a whole is poorly-done, in my opinion. The section only briefly discusses his journalism career, but features two long quotes that seem out of place, and add little general information about his career. The first quote is focused exclusively on Alger Hiss and David Lilienthal, yet is not placed into any kind of historical or biographical context, but appears almost randomly thrown into the article. While Krock's close relationship with the Kennedy family (and especially Joseph Kennedy, Sr.) is properly discussed, the quote implying that the CIA may have had something to do with JFK's assassination is also totally out of place in such an article, has nothing to do with describing Krock's journalistic career, and should be removed. The Journalism section should be expanded with more general and detailed knowledge of his career at the Times, and should have fewer long blocks of direct quotes that have no context and are out of place in the section. Material / Sources to be incorporated

I've found two sources recently, while editing the List of Pulitzer Prizes awarded to The New York Times, about Krock's work, and they include notable content worth incorporating into this article.

• A 1950 Time Magazine article about the White House press corps' "sizzling" reaction to his exclusive interviews with sitting presidents (which won him two of his Pulitzer Prizes)
• A 1993 Washington Post article describing accusations that Krock was paid for a long time by Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. to "keep the Kennedy name in the papers."
