Amvrakikos Wetlands National Park
editHi. I am missing some basic information about the Amvrakikos Wetlands National Park on this page. Perhaps someone is interested in adding it to the article?
The Amvrakikos Wetlands National Park was inaugurated in March 2008. Here are two basic sources for it:
- Amvrakikos Management Body: Amvrakikos Wetlands National Park
- EPA: Amvrakikos Wetlands National Park
Cheers! Keep up the good work. RhinoMind (talk) 02:31, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Panoramic view of the city and its limits?
editIt bothered me how unlike several other cities in the area, there is no whatsoever panoramic view of the city and its limits at all. Currently, the article features only photos of certain streets and close-ups of various landmarks in Arta. While a panoramic photo is not necessary to the article's improvement, it is nevertheless helpful for the readers to get an idea about the city and its area, etc. A photo can really help in that regard in ways the article's text cannot. I haven't been able to locate any such photos for Arta on Wikipedia Commons. Or are there any and I have missed them? This issue is not unusual and not limited only to Arta. Another such example is Katerini. - ❖ SilentResident ❖ (talk ✉ | contribs ✎) 21:14, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- I see your point, though none of the pics available is as good as one would like. In such situation, maybe one of those could be helpful though [1][2][3]. They show a general view of the town from the shores of the lake. Ktrimi991 (talk) 22:39, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I am aware of these pictures on Commons already, and frankly I am not too excited to use them for the readers, since they are not helpful, due to camera being literally bellow the city's elevation (the lake is much lower than the city itself) making it hard to tell about the city's size or limits. The photos also do not help understand whether the city has open spaces - buildings seem too crammed and anarchically constructed next to each other, which is not true; this false illusion is again owned to the angle from which the photos were taken.
- What we really need here is the camera to be higher than the city's elevation, not lower. So, instead of these photos on Commons, I was hopeful there might something better, i.e. a panoramic photo of Arta like this one (offwiki link): [4] which includes not only the lake, but also the river, the famous bridge, and even the city's interesting plan, the forest and the broader valley. (I asked for permission from the photo's owners to upload it on Wikimedia, but I have received no response yet.) --- ❖ SilentResident ❖ (talk ✉ | contribs ✎) 23:46, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
