Infobox and lede

edit
  • No comma needed after "and businessperson"
  • Comma after "March 4, 1913" per MOS:DATECOMMA
  • "Raleigh County and served in this position until 1908" → "Raleigh County, a position he held until 1908"

Early life and education

edit
  • Comma after "March 25, 1878" per MOS:DATECOMMA
  • No parentheses around "and six sons"
  • ""Miller Bob,"" → ""Miller Bob"," per MOS:LQ
  • ""lizard glades."" → ""lizard glades"." per MOS:LQ
  • ""Owl River school."" → ""Owl River school"." per MOS:LQ

Early law and political careers

edit
  • To whom did he lose the 1910 election?
  • I have added in additional content regarding the 1910 Republican nominee selection process, in which Lilly lost to incumbent Hughes. Please let me know if this works, or if more or less detail is needed. Thanks again! -- West Virginian (talk) 15:13, 5 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Attorney general

edit
  • No commas needed around "without opposition"

Virginia debt case

edit
  • Per MOS:LARGENUM, the significant sums described in this section should be rounded, as it doesn't appear that there's any significant reason to include the exact dollar and cent amounts

Later political career

edit
  • No comma needed after "for the Republican nomination"
  • A little more description on why the feud began would be nice

Business affairs

edit
  • the asbestos roof paint "Leak Not" to prevent leaks and black metal paint "Rust Not" to prevent rust. confusing syntax

Later life and death

edit
  • "which exceeded 20,000 attendees on its second day, and had notable attendees including" → "which exceeded 20,000 attendees on its second day. Notable attendees included"
  • Link World War II

Personal life

edit
  • "He and his wife had" → "Together they had"
  • Combine first two paras as they are both about his family, and it reduces the rate of 1-2 sentence paragraphs

References

edit
  • [17] and [20] are not duplicate refs but appear to be from a first glance; I'd recommend adding 1911 and 1914 in parentheses to distinguish
  • Per MOS:ALLCAPS, both of those refs should also be rendered in title case and not all caps

General comments

edit
  • Images are public domain and obviously relevant
  • No stability concerns in the revision history
  • Copyvio score looks good
