Living Quarters

edit

I am removing the entire living quarters section of this article. It borders on libel. There is not one citation in the entire section. I have heard about the poor living conditions, but you are going to have to provide citations, and use non biased language.Taxmandante (talk) 15:52, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nonsense

edit

Something is missing or wrong in this sentence: "Yet it was announced that the Arlington Million would be ith the future of Arlington in doubt after the fire, the meet was shifted to Hawthorne racetrack and it was announced that the Arlington Million would be held at Arlington on August 25, 1985 by using temporary bleachers." Name Change

edit

This article needs to have a new name, to reflect the new name of the racecourse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoosiercubsfan89 (talkcontribs) 20:36, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Logo Change

edit

I am updating aspects of the page but am a novice at editing and am not sure how to add the new globe logo vs. the outdated script. AfleetAlexsBalance (talk) 15:52, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sale of Property to Chicago Bears

edit

So, about the sale to the Bears... I don't think it should be listed that the Bears own the property. For one... they don't. There is an AGREEMENT to buy the property, but the deal is not closed. Also, looking at the future, if/when the Bears build a new stadium on the property, it will most certainly have a new article. At that point, we would never look back in time and say that "The Bears owned Arlington Park at the end." My opinion... Arlington Park, owned by Churchill Downs, is Closed. The future is yet to be determined, so we can reference the planned sale in the article, but the Sidebar content should just be Closed/Churchill Downs. —Fumo7887 (talkcontribs) 22:05, 29 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

The Bears do not own this property yet. They signed a purchase agreement and will likely take over a year to close. Churchill Downs Incorporated owns the property and have an active organization license for the property until 12/31/2021. Therefore, the owner should be listed as "Churchill Downs Incorporated".
