Tone and style

edit

I wonder whether a catalog-like list of Arctic's product line is appropriate. – Wbm1058 (talk) 14:25, 6 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Title

edit

{{Correct title|ARCTIC (company)|reason=The company name shall be written as ARCTIC in all capital letters, according to the company's website, to avoid confusion with the original meaning of Arctic}}

No, that's not the reason. See MOS:TM:
  • Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official":
    • avoid: REALTOR®, TIME, KISS
    • instead, use: Realtor, Time, Kiss
To avoid confusion with the original meaning of Arctic, we disambiguate by appending (company) to the title.
If you wish to challenge my interpretation of the Manual of Style, you're welcome to submit a move request. There is no technical reason why all-capitals can't be used.

Should someone search Wikipedia for "the ARCTIC brand umbrella", they will find that ARCTIC redirects them from the brand name to this article. Wbm1058 (talk) 13:03, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

edit

I propose that Accelero be merged into Arctic (company). I think that the content in the Accelero article can easily be explained in the context of Arctic, and the Arctic article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Accelero will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Also, the Accelero page is written like an advertisement and may not meet the notability requirements.Ronnie Tse (talk) 13:41, 18 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Merged content from Accelero to here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TseRonnie (talkcontribs) 08:53, 24 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
