editWhat means "extate" in this sentence? "Mrs. Arcadia de Baker died in 1912, and left an extate of seven to eight million dollars, with no will and no children." 85.206.100.220 20:37, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Abel Stearns conversion
editThe statement "Stearns was ....... and converted from Judaism to Catholicism, ...." doesn't seem to match any information I can find.
Here is another discussion link http://www.ulwaf.com/LA-1900s/02.01.html
"In an early version of this page, I wrote that Abel Stearns had Jewish ancestry. This statement was based on a reference I found in a biography of Arcadia Bandini-Stearns deBaker on the Web site of the Historical Society of Southern California. In December 2004, Joanna M. Ashmun messaged me that: No, Abel Stearns was not born Jewish. Stearns is a New England colonial name. Abel was a descendant of Isaac Stearns and Mary (Barker) Stearns who immigrated on the "Arbella" of the Winthrop fleet in 1630."
Children of Stearns and Bandini
editWhat is the basis for "The couple had a son, Irving, who left California for good when he was a young man" ? The general concensus seems to be that the "Bakers had no children"

- Most of this article was source from the San Diego Historical Society, if I'm not mistaken. However that bit was added by an anonymous editor without any comment.[1] I'll remove it. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 06:27, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Template: Additional Citations needed - TIME TO REMOVE?
editIt appears that this article does have quite a decent amount of relevant citations. Is there any objection to the "Citations needed" banner at the top being removed now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Natasha Behrendt (talk • contribs) 19:28, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
