Anyway, perhaps we could get permission for this image? --24.49.129.252 03:53, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
This is the lesser theory...
- "However, there is also speculation that only one Arbiter is created for any one crisis, however this is the lesser of the two theories."
Woah! The lesser of the two theories? I'm not really sure what this is trying to say, but if it's saying what it seems like it's saying, it needs to be rewritten a bit to conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View Policy. :-) authraw 00:43, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Shields
I heard somewhere that his shields are weaker than MC's. Is this true or not? YnoBluepages? 20:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- No. However, his head is angled forward, and that makes it easier for the shotgun-equipped Flood to kill him with a single blast, as part of the shot goes through the shields and scores a direct hit on his head, killing him. Peptuck 04:45, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Fact or Funny
Near the bottom of the page there is in parenthesis "Et tu Brute?", is that part of an offical name or is it someone trying to make the article more amusing? BassxForte 00:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- "Et Tu, Brute" is the name of the Vidoc that Bungie released regarding Brutes in Halo 3. Check the Halo 3 article for more information. Peptuck 03:10, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Good Guy?
Is the Arbiter really considered a hero like Master Cheif? Is he going to save the humans in anyway in Halo 3?
- "Saving humans" does not necessarily mean heroic. He can do plenty of other stuff and still be a good guy. Peptuck 06:01, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Humans are not the only ones that need saving. Brokenscope 13:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Arbiter picture
Because I'm tired of warring this out on my talk page and this should be thrown out for the whole community to talk about instead: Should we be using the image that's been the subject of the recent edit war? Th one with the Arbiter after he's beens tripped of his armor, in the opening cutscene for "The Arbiter" from Halo 2? Peptuck 04:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- I honestly don't think its needed for this page; it doesn't tell us anything about the Arbiter and brings little to the article. I have no objection to its addition to the Covenant Elite article, I guess, as an example of physiology, though honestly that is also open to debate. The other image in question (with the Arbiter holding an energy sword while naked) should not be used; other than being poor quality and far too dark, it doesn't show anything that the kneeling image doesn't already - and better. Plus, it isn't an actual ingame screenshot but rather a screen taken from a modded version of Halo 2. Qjuad 13:43, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
but we should put the screenshot in from the new trailer, because of how differnt it looks.
Removed Link
I deleted a link to a porn site some vandal/spammer had placed in the references section under the guise of the 'HBO Cutscene Gallery'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.147.42.7 (talk • contribs) 01:18, 20 July 2007
Lets create a consensus
Before we end up with this article on WP:LAME we should establish a consensus over the material included here, in this moment we are seeing a content dispute because a anon user insists in adding a piece of material that speculates the identity of the Spec Ops Elite that fights the Master Chief hand to hand, now this seems like original research and contradicts what was featured of the Supreme Commander in the novels previously, most notably the fact that this specific Elite is only seen wearing two sets of armor, the ceremonial purple Supreme Commander one and the Zealot combat armor, it is never established that he has a relation with the Spec Ops other than his friendship with the Spec Ops commander, as fleet commander he is responsible for the loss of the Acendant Justice but there is no indication that he lost it on direct combat. Now can we all agree on this? - Caribbean~H.Q. 19:33, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Agree. Does the Supreme Commander lose the supreme justice? It seems quite clear that this is the Arbiter. However there is no indication that he was the one the Chief fought; I think the issue is the anon is getting his facts a bit confused. David Fuchs (talk) 19:46, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
