Plot

The plot summary of this needs to be completely rewritten. The movie has many differences from the novella (such as the age of Todd Bowden and the name of the man Dussander shares a room with while at the hospial), but this is just a summary of the novella's plot.Tabun1015 22:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Homosexual content

I am watching this scene right now, and it seems fairly obvious the bum is trying to offer sexual favors to Ian Mckellen's character before he gets stabbed. The bum discusses the morning after, and what would happen if everything "goes well". Then he says "you can relax I've done this before", and "hold on I gotta pee first". Ian Mckellen's character, playing along with it for a moment, starts rubbing the bum's head sensually, and the bum is quite obviously getting aroused by it, until he gets stabbed of course.Rglong 04:57, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

minor point

I take issue with the description "a refrain from the Hildegard Knef song Das ist Berlin". Yes, Hildegard Knef had a cover version of the song, released in 1978 on her album "Heimweh-Blues", but the version on the soundtrack is credited to "Liane and The Boheme Bar Trio". The song was apparently written for (or at least appeared in) the 1938 film Es leuchten die Sterne (The Stars Shine), in which it was performed by Rosita Serrano, and so we ought to be referring to its composers and lyricists rather than someone who performed it decades later. - Outerlimits 06:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
