CPU manufacture not confirmed edit

At this moment, we cannot confirm that only TSMC is involved to produce Apple A10 Fusion SoC. More teardown and citations are needed to find out whether other manufactures, such as Samsung, is also one of the manufacturers of the SoC.

Meaning of "fusion" - reference to GPU/CPU combination? edit

Does "fusion" in the name refer to the integration of the GPU and CPU on a single chip? Did prior iPhones use a discrete GPU? Or does it refer to the use of two cores that are "efficient" and two that are "high performance"? Jimw338 (talk) 17:48, 5 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

The implication from the keynote at which the A10 was introduced was that the addition of the name "Fusion" probably refers to the "big.LITTLE"-like architecture incorporated by the A10, however Apple has not officially disclosed any meaning for the "Fusion" moniker in any of their press releases. Every system-on-a-chip used since the original iPhone, even the ones that were merely specified by Apple that predated the Apple designed "A"-series chips, have had an integrated CPU and an integrated GPU — so it is very unlikely that Fusion refers to the integration of the GPU. —RP88 (talk) 19:56, 5 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

It is the fastest single-threaded mobile SoC released to date? edit

I removed this statement as neither reference stated that. In fact one of them stated the gap is as much tied to software differences. ContentEditman (talk) 16:29, 6 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

iMac Pro edit

@Jasonanaggie: I see you have added the rumor of the iMac Pro having an A10 chip. While this appears very interesting and exciting, adding it to WP seems to be in direct contradiction to the WP:CRYSTAL policy. Perhaps it can be discussed here, to see if there are reputable sources, before inclusion. Dbsseven (talk) 17:22, 25 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
